Joining writings group has been the best experiences for me.  I have learned so much about my own work and writing talents by reviewing and commenting on the work of others. Here are  s ome of the writing groups I belong to, including links to join, as well as member websites.

Historical Fiction Critique Group

This is the first group I joined, and I am so glad I did.  I have interacted with many talented fellow writers, published and unpublished who share my love for historical fiction.

Historical Fiction Writers Critique Group

After having been a critique partner with the wonderful writer who moderates this group, I decided to join.  Again, the talent and the intesity of group members is a wonderful benefit.  Now that I'm a seasoned group participant, I feel more comfortable reviewing other's work and commenting.

Medieval Fiction Writers Group

So, of course, I had to take it one step further -- and start my own group!  While still falling within the interests of the other two groups where I retain my membership, this small startup focuses on the medieval period 500-1450 AD.  The group experience has been a great help to me, a wonderful place to exchange ideas and receive feedback.  I would suggest joining one to any would-be writer or new author.
